Check for overlapping:  

All the layers of plywood should be accurately put in place without any overlapping, and you should check for the same before purchasing. You should avoid buying the piece if it has an overlapped layer as it weakens the overall toughness of the plywood. 

Check for gaping: 

In addition to overlapping, there should also not be any gaps between all the 13-layers of the plywood. Gaps can cause excessive moisture content inside the plywood, which is highly damaging to the plywood performance.

The plywood surface should be unwrinkled:
